Bus rental in Tübingen
Renting a bus to Tübingen takes you to one of Germany's liveliest university towns. Of its roughly 92,000 residents, almost a third are students, and the university was founded in 1477. BELAHMER REISEN works as a bus company for trips to Tübingen: city breaks, school trips, field trips and club outings. From Katzweiler near Kaiserslautern it is about 230 kilometres, around two and a half hours. The town's best-known image is the Neckar riverfront. Colourful houses stand close to the water, among them the yellow Hölderlin Tower, where the poet Friedrich Hölderlin lived for more than 36 years. In front, punts glide along the river, long wooden boats pushed along with a pole. A punt trip with the whole group is a highlight of any visit. The old town is steep and winding. From the market square with its painted town hall, steps and lanes lead up to Hohentübingen Castle. Its Museum of Ancient Cultures displays ivory figurines from the Swabian Jura that are among the oldest artworks known. From the castle terrace you look out over the old town and the Neckar valley. In June the punt race takes place, with student fraternities competing in costumed boats. In December the chocolART festival draws many visitors to the old town. Tübingen is a good base for the Swabian Jura. Hohenzollern Castle near Hechingen is about 30 kilometres away and one of the most visited castles in Germany. Bebenhausen Abbey, just minutes north of town, and Lichtenstein Castle on a rock above the Echaz valley also fit well into a programme. The narrow old town is closed to coaches. We drop your group at the coach stops on its edge, a few minutes' walk away. For university groups and institutes we run field trips and conference shuttles. A typical day: arrive in the morning, take a guided walk through the old town and market square, then lunch in one of the many student pubs. In the afternoon go punting on the Neckar before continuing to Hohenzollern Castle. The drive back to the Palatinate starts in the early evening. In summer, a walk along the plane tree avenue on the Neckar island is worthwhile. The avenue is more than 200 years old and offers the best view of the riverfront. For groups it is a calm counterpoint to the busy old town. For a quote, the date, programme and number of passengers are enough. The fixed price includes tolls, fuel and the driver.

Häufige Fragen
Yes. Several operators rent punts with a guide, and one boat usually takes around 15 to 20 people. Larger groups use several boats. It is best to book in advance.
Very well. The castle is about half an hour away. The coach brings your group to the car park below, from where a shuttle bus runs up or you walk.
With some limits. The old town is steep with many steps. We suggest a programme along the Neckar with a punt trip and the market square, and the castle only for those steady on their feet.
Yes, for the university, institutes and student groups, for example company visits, fieldwork on the Swabian Jura or conferences. We also plan multi-day trips with overnight stays.
