Bus rental in Schwetzingen
For most groups, renting a bus to Schwetzingen means a day in the palace gardens, followed by asparagus or a concert. This small town between Mannheim and Heidelberg has around 22,000 residents and one of the finest gardens in Europe. BELAHMER REISEN works as a bus company in Schwetzingen for clubs, senior groups, choirs and companies. From Katzweiler near Kaiserslautern it is about 80 kilometres, just under an hour via the A6. The palace was the summer residence of the Electors Palatine. Its real fame is the garden, covering more than 70 hectares. It joins a strict French baroque garden to a looser English-style park, laid out later in the 18th century as tastes changed. Along the way you come across temples, fountains, artificial ruins and the Red Mosque, an 18th-century garden building in oriental style. The garden is ideal for groups. Paths are flat. There are plenty of benches, and everyone can go at their own pace, whether that means a quick loop or a slow afternoon by the water. Guided tours of the palace and garden can be booked in advance. Afterwards it is just a few steps to the palace square with its cafés and restaurants. Schwetzingen also calls itself the asparagus town. Spring here means one thing. From April to June asparagus is on every menu, and a statue on the palace square celebrates the tradition. An asparagus lunch after the garden visit is a spring classic for clubs. Culturally, the Schwetzingen SWR Festival in spring is the highlight, with performances in the palace's rococo theatre among other venues. For concert groups we time the return trip to the end of the performance. The location is handy for combinations. Heidelberg is only 15 minutes away, as are Hockenheim and Speyer. With your own coach, two destinations in one day are easy. Here is a half-day example: arrive in the morning, take a garden tour including the mosque and bathhouse, then enjoy some free time in the park. Lunch is asparagus on the palace square. In the afternoon you head to Speyer cathedral or a wine tasting on the wine route, and you are home by early evening. During Advent a small Christmas market sets up on the palace square, with the palace as a backdrop. For senior groups it is a pleasant alternative to the big markets in Mannheim and Heidelberg. It is compact, easy on foot and close to the coach. For a quote, the date, programme and number of passengers are enough. We give you a fixed price including tolls, fuel and the driver.

Yes, from April to June it is one of our popular club trips. We like to combine the palace gardens with an asparagus lunch. You book the restaurant, or we suggest places that handle groups well.
